Being a Witness for Christ

While we may not all be preachers in the traditional sense, the Bible is clear that every believer is called to be a witness of God’s goodness, grace, and mercy. Each of us has a story to share—the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the personal ways He has worked in our own lives. Why would we ever keep such a powerful testimony hidden?

Last year, I began a Jesus Loves You campaign. We placed more than 200 signs across six counties in Kentucky and Tennessee. When I later moved to Bowling Green, I felt led to take the campaign online. Now, every day, I post the simple but life-changing words Jesus Loves You on Facebook (I’d love for you to join me).

Yet in my spirit, I know there is still more I can do. Every encounter with another soul is a golden opportunity to share the love of Christ. I’m trying to build the habit of saying Jesus Loves You to everyone I meet. I’ll be honest—sometimes I forget, and sometimes I let fear hold me back. I don’t fully understand why, but I know this is an area where God is growing me.

My desire is to be a better witness, to let others clearly see God’s love through me. And I pray that this becomes your desire too. May we all live in such a way that Christ’s light shines through us.

Let it be so, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
