According to the legend, a preacher who was supposed to lead people toward God actually turned to the devil. He deceived his congregation, converting some into his dark ways. Those who refused were slaughtered. The chapel where this horror unfolded became known as Souls Chapel, and the story has haunted the hills of Kentucky for generations.
